Mafia II Demo Impressions

Ah it's been a couple days... and it will probably continue to be a couple of days between posts as we're moving into the fall semester of college. Unfortunately, I have been VERY ill this past weekend, and am only starting to feel better today.

Mafia II demo. Where to begin? The atmosphere is very retro 40s and 50s... however it definitely is not comparable to a picture. Grand Theft Auto undoubtedly displays a grander city and realistic vibe, but after all this is just a quick demo that still offers a decent setting. The gameplay offers a crisp, clean cover and fire system that is rather similar to Gears of War... but, although I haven't played Uncharted before, looks very similar to Uncharted 2. Cutscenes also feel very natural and occur precisely when they should... the demo was very entertaining to say the least!

Other than Mafia II, nothing really has fallen under my radar this past week. I actually did borrow Call of Duty: World at War from a buddy and went rampaging, pulling a 2.13 KDR up until reaching lvl 17. If you enjoy just absolutely pwning kids online, this is the game right now!
